BREAKING: 45 Arrested IPOB Members in Igweocha (Port-Harcourt) Released

A Magistrate Court in Igweocha (Port-Harcourt) has acquitted 45 members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who were arrested in Igweocha on 20th January while observing rally for US President, Donald Trump.

This came few days after Federal High Court Abuja, presided by Justice Bunta Nyako, declared IPOB as a legal organization Not an Unlawful Organization.

According to the judgement gave by the Chief Magistrate, Andrew Jaja, he said;

“I have no other reason to detain this innocent people anymore, they are free of crime and are lawful people, I hereby discharge them all with immediate effect”.

The 45 IPOB members before regaining their freedom were accused of treasonable felony and belonging to unlawful organization.
